INFORMATION ABOUT EVENT

This will be the first “Gathering of Authors” Event in the four state area.  There will be from 16 authors under one roof.  Each author will read an excerpt from his/her book, telling about themselves, following book signing.  Special speakers will be D.J. Resnick, former Book agent from Beaumont TX, present Senior editor of Emunah Books and Martin Beck, National Award Winning film director and teacher of talented young actors.

This is an event for readers wanting to meet authors and get autographed books, to those who want to learn more about their own writing and getting published.  Books from each author will be given away as door prizes as well as many other prizes from local sponsors in our area.   Food and fun, from a unique gathering of those with similar interests to a huge social get-together, the arts in writing will come alive.

 Authors (confirmed):  Tammy D. Thompson, Cynthia Coleman Tyous, Paul Keener, Harvey Smith, Charles Jones, Mary Crisp, Garon Whited, Wade Rivers, Steve Whisnant, Ed Russell, Bill Norton, Bonnie L. Stubber (illustrator), Jane Cheatham(collaborative book) Tom C. Greer  , Janice Monk Glass and William Carl.

Admission:     FREE

Tickets will be sold at the door for the many prizes donated for us to give away (Restaurant Gift Certificates and tools to Nail Salon GC and Massage gift cards) Some listed below.  The proceeds will be donated to HARVEST TEXARKANA, so they can continue to help the needy who need food.  Donations for this cause are welcome.

We will open doors a little after five so anyone who wants to mingle with the authors and speakers before hand, can.  Speaking will start at six or a little after.  In between each author speaking, we will draw a name for a prize.  Each author will give away an autographed book along with the many other prizes.

This is the first event of this kind in this area.  Finally the Regional authors get some recognition for their talent.  So often people only notice those big name writers who have found fame in their profession, but so many Regional Authors are on their way as well.  Come join us in celebrating reading, books, writing and the arts.
